Practise choices without surprise drills

Learning should not depend on an instructor frightening you or ignoring an opt-out.

Keep participation under your control

A learning activity can be explained first. You should know what will happen, what contact is proposed and how to stop. Watching is a valid choice.

Start with discussion

Consider a written scenario and name possible sources of help. You do not need another person to surprise, grab or threaten you to reflect on options.

For physical practice

Choose qualified supervision and a manageable intensity. If an instructor dismisses your concerns or treats consent as weakness, consider another provider. This reading exercise does not teach a physical technique.

Keep the responsibility clear. These options cannot guarantee safety. Responsibility for violence belongs to the perpetrator. Choose what fits your circumstances.
