  • Do I need to be fit or have martial arts experience?

    No, we encourage fitness and a healthy lifestyle but you do not need to be fit.

    Our training focuses on natural reactions and real world situations not combative sports. Our knowledge base and training follows instinctive human movements and leverage not strength oe size. You will learn to use what your mind and natural weapons. 

  • Is teaching self defence victim blaming?

    Absolutely not!

    Learning self defence is not about taking responsibilty for an attacker’s action. It’s about reclaiming confidence, choice and the basic human right to live without fear. As Eve Gracie explains We don’t learn self defence because it’s our responsibility; we learn it because violence is a reality”. Our programs focus equally on personal safety education and societal change, highlighting that root cause of violence is alway the perpetrator, not the victim.

  • What is Womens Self Defence Network?

    The Women’s Self Defence Network is a global education and empowerment platform. Our goal is to make 1 million women safer by providing evidence based training, resources, and access to qualified registered instructors. Our approach integrates situational awareness, verbal bondary setting and physical self defence skills as well as advocacy for social and cultural change.
